Adoptar un perro es algo fantástico. Especialmente si hablamos de perros que tienen experiencia y han pasado por mucho. Estos perros tendrán hábitos de dueños o casas anteriores.

Un hombre se dio cuenta de un hábito recurrente que su perro había adquirido de un dueño anterior. Lo encontró extraño y desconcertante. Le costaba dormir por la noche sólo de pensar en ello.

El Perro Cesur

Ali decidió adoptar un perro en lugar de comprarlo. Era un gesto valioso y, al fin y al cabo, iba a dar un nuevo hogar a una criatura desvalida. El pequeño mestizo parecía llevarse bien con él.

El perro recién adoptado era cariñoso y estaba bien educado. Pero Cesur tardó un tiempo en mostrar a Ali su verdadera naturaleza.

Un Buen Ajuste

Cesur parecía estar a gusto con su nuevo dueño. Parecía que todas las experiencias anteriores por las que había pasado habían sido superadas. Era un compañero leal.

Pero parecía que Cesur tenía un hábito que le había ocultado a Ali y que estaba a punto de aparecer. Sería algo que a Ali le aterraría.

Un Artista Del Escapismo

Todas las mañanas, como un reloj, Cesur esperaba en la puerta principal mientras Alí se preparaba para el trabajo. Pero cuando Ali abría la puerta para salir, Cesur salía corriendo.

Ali no podía atraparlo y no podía permitirse llegar tarde al trabajo. Así que no tuvo más remedio que subir a su coche y marcharse, esperando que Cesur estuviera bien en su ausencia.

Preocupado

Mientras estaba en el trabajo, Ali sentía un nudo en el estómago, preocupado por su perro recién adoptado. Aunque Cesur le esperara pacientemente en la puerta siempre que volvía, no le gustaba que estuviera en la calle todo el día.

Ali tenía curiosidad por saber adónde iba Cesur cada mañana. Se empeñaba en escapar de su nuevo dueño, así que debía ser algo importante para él. La verdadera razón haría llorar a Ali.

Culpándose

Antes de que surgiera este hábito, los dos se habían llevado muy bien. Ali sentía que había encontrado un nuevo compañero. Así que estaba justificado cuando se sentía un poco traicionado siempre que Cesur quería ir a otro sitio cada mañana,

El padre de Ali nunca mencionó este problema de Cesur. ¿Tal vez el perro necesitaba más ejercicio? Al final, Ali vio que el perro no desaparecía porque necesitara pasearse.

Ser Un Mejor Dueño

Ali se recompuso y se empeñó en mejorar como dueño. Empezó a mimar a Cesur, comprándole comida cara y sacándolo a jugar al parque.

¿Quizás Cesur todavía no confiaba en él? Quizá si le daba tiempo, no tendría esas ganas de escaparse cada mañana. Pero Ali era ajeno a lo que realmente hacía el pobre perro.

Todas Las Mañanas

Después de semanas, parecía que este hábito no iba a cambiar. Al principio Ali pensó que sólo se trataba de acostumbrarse a la nueva casa. Pero después de semanas, supo que iba a ser un problema a largo plazo.

Ali tenía que averiguar a dónde iba su peludo compañero cada día. Decidió que sería detective por un día.

Bursa

Ali vivía en Bursa, una ciudad de Turquía. Ali conocía a todo el mundo en la ciudad y todo el mundo le conocía a él.

La comunidad apoyaba a Ali y le ayudaba en todo lo que necesitara. Pero parecía que algunas personas tenían otras cosas en mente.

Las autoridades de cuidado de animales le advirtieron que los perros suelen huir por frustración y miedo. Sospechaban que estaba maltratando al pobre Cesur. Pero él nunca habría hecho algo así. 

Sabía que tenía que haber otra explicación. Frustrado, colgó el teléfono y llamó al trabajo para comunicar que no iría al día siguiente. En su lugar, iba a averiguar exactamente lo que Cesur estaba haciendo.

Siguiendo A Cesur

Alí se levantó decidido y consiguió sacar algo de tiempo por la mañana. Siguió a Cesur mientras el perro corría por un camino que claramente le era muy familiar.

Ali tardó en darse cuenta de a dónde iba Cesur, pero cuando lo hizo se le rompió el corazón.

Triste Descubrimiento

Ali lo siguió, asegurándose de mantener la distancia y evitar ser visto. No quería distraer a Cesur de su misteriosa aventura diaria. 

Le siguió más de cinco manzanas, girando a la izquierda, luego a la derecha y de nuevo a la izquierda, hasta que comprendió exactamente hacia dónde se dirigía Cesur. Le tembló el labio al darse cuenta de lo que estaba pasando. 

Un Cementerio

Cesur había conducido a Ali a un cementerio. Y entonces se detuvo a propósito en una tumba en particular.

El perrito había sido un fiel compañero de su anterior dueño, Mehmet Ilhan, de 79 años. Mehmet lo había adoptado de una protectora, y la pareja había formado un vínculo tan extraordinario que dejó a Ali boquiabierto.

Corazón Roto

Mehmet y Cesur estuvieron juntos durante dos años, pero entonces llegó la tragedia.

Mehmet fue hospitalizado y Cesur se sintió abrumado por el dolor. “Debido a la parálisis de mi padre, tenían un tipo de conexión muy particular”, dijo Ali a los medios. “Cuando mi padre estaba en el hospital durante sus últimos días, Cesur dejó de comer”.

No Se Apartaba De Su Lado

Mehmet falleció tristemente unas semanas después. Y cuando su féretro fue llevado a casa para preparar el funeral, Cesur no se separó de su dueño.

Cuando se formó una procesión para llevar el ataúd a una mezquita local, el perro se negó a alejarse. Cesur insistió en encabezar la procesión, y los demás invitados le siguieron. Pero aún no sabían el alcance de su dolor.

Luto

Durante el funeral, Cesur se sentó a los pies del ataúd. Llevaba la cabeza colgada con tristeza, como si estuviera de luto.

Así permaneció Cesur todo el tiempo. “Nadie pudo tocarlo hasta que mi padre fue llevado a la tumba y enterrado”, dijo Ali. Cesur vio cómo enterraban a su dueño. Pero, lamentablemente, nunca pudo llegar a superar la tragedia y su comportamiento siguió cambiando. 

Duelo

Aunque los perros no lloran como los humanos, sí que son capaces de exhibir auténticas muestras de pena. Cuando los perros están tristes, en lugar de derramar lágrimas, mostrarán su tristeza gimiendo, doblando las orejas hacia atrás, agachándose o negándose a hacer contacto visual.

También parecerá que les falta seguridad en sí mismos. Y si un perro gime, te está diciendo que se siente inseguro y que busca tu apoyo. Cesur mostraba la mayoría de los comportamientos anteriores. Era obvio que estaba de luto. 

Suspirando

Aunque el perrito vivía ahora en casa de Ali, el hijo de Mehemet, seguía suspirando por Mehmet.

Todos los días desde el funeral, Cesur se escapaba y corría por el pueblo hasta el lugar del entierro para sentarse con su viejo amigo. Pero no fue hasta que Alí lo siguió que se dio cuenta de lo que el leal perrito hacía cada día. 

Presentar Sus Respetos

“La gente que trabaja en el cementerio dice que lo primero que hace por la mañana es visitar la tumba de mi padre”, dice Ali.

Ese día, Ali y Cesur se sentaron uno al lado del otro y presentaron sus respetos juntos. Pero Ali no sabía que sólo estaba tocando la superficie del dolor que sentía Cesur. Su corazón se rompió una vez más cuando vio lo que había en el suelo. 

Together Forever

Ali even saw the pawprints that Cesur had left on the grave on previous occasions, which only confirmed the pup’s loyalty.

Ali is not sure how long Cesur’s daily visits to the cemetery will continue or if he will ever really recover from the loss of his beloved master. One thing is certain, however. Ali had to do something.

Repaying Him

Ali knew that Cesur was a noble, loyal dog and had also been a loving companion for his father. 

In return, Ali promised that the little dog wouldn’t have to face the future on his own. “Cesur has always been a noble animal,” said Ali. “He will live with me from now on.” But how would Ali ease his pain? 

Not Enough

Ali was fulfilling his promise of staying with Cesur and giving him all the attention and love that he needed, but it still wasn’t enough. 

Cesur continued to display signs of sadness and visited the grave every day. When Ali noticed his appetite was fading, he got worried and rushed to the vet to seek help. 

Professional Help

When Ali brought Cesur to the vet, word of his heartbreaking tale had already swept their local newspapers. The vets recognized them and rushed over to Ali and Cesur, giving them both their condolences. 

Ali told the vet that he hadn’t been eating well and was worried he might starve himself into oblivion. The vet assured him that although he’s experiencing emotional trauma, dogs’ survival instincts are far too strong to starve themselves to death willingly. But they did have a suggestion.

Unexpected Suggestion

They told Ali that Cesur might need more than a human friend to get him through this. They asked Ali to consider getting a companion for Cesur. The idea never popped into Ali’s mind. 

But now, it made sense. He wanted Cesur to be the playful pup he once was, and how better to do that than to get another dog that he could play around with? But things didn’t work out exactly as planned…

Strange Solution

Ali went back home with Cesur and was met by his friends already making themselves at home in his backyard. He had arranged a BBQ the week before and told them he’d be running late. 

He told his friends that he needed to get Cesur a companion but that he realized his house didn’t have enough space for two dogs. That’s when one of his friends offered him a strange solution. 

The Start Of Something New

His friend had rescued a stray cat a couple of weeks ago and was planning to hand it into the shelter. He suddenly wondered if Ali should just take her instead. 

She was a grey and black striped beautiful cat who was calm and lively at the same time. He had grown fond of the cat and wanted to give it to someone who he knew would take good care of it. 

Unlikely Match

Ali didn’t need much convincing. A cat was the perfect addition to his little fury family. The cat, Tobi, was slowly introduced to Cesur, who took an immediate shining to her!

Tobi, on the other hand, was a bit more cautious. However, it didn’t take long before she began to feel more comfortable, and her playful side took over. 

Coming Back To Life

She’d pounce on Cesur and had an obsession with catching his tail and nibbling at his ear. An action that would always leave Cesur swinging his head, trying to get her to stop playfully. 

Slowly but surely, Cesur began to light up again. He stopped crouching and whining and slowly began to get his appetite back. Meanwhile, something much, much bigger was happening.

Cesur’s heartbreaking tale of loss and hardship was going viral across the world! Cesur became widely known as the latest heartbroken dog, who also reminded the world of Greyfriars Bobby. 

Greyfriars Bobby was a Skye Terrier from Scotland who was well known for guarding the grave of his owner for an insane 14 years. They even created a statue after him…

A Lasting Tale

The statue of the 19th-century pup who passed away in 1872 is located in Edinburgh in Scotland. 

He is still adored by the locals today, and his story continues to be well known by the community. His story of heartbreak and loyalty has even inspired a number of films and books. And it looks like Cesur is set to follow his lead.

Attention

Whenever Ali and Cesur are out together, they get stopped by people all the time, asking after Cesur and wondering how he’s doing now. 

At first, Ali found the situation bizarre, as he was also suffering the same loss, but as time continued, he loved the care and attention Cesur got and felt his father was still somehow living through him. 

Neighborhood Cheer

When Ali and Cesur appeared on a number of talk shows to tell their story, people couldn’t help but pay attention. Often, people would bring their dogs over to play with Cesur and lighten his mood, but they all had one burning question to ask Ali.

They asked him if he still visited the grave. Ali would reply, “Although he’s visibly much more cheerful, after all this time, he’s never forgotten one thing.”

Feeling The Support!

“He never forgot his old master, Mehmet”. Cesur continued to walk down to the graveyard and sit with his old friend. Only now, he is often accompanied by Ali and Tobi, the cat, in tow. 

Looking back, Cesur’s grievance also helped Ali get through his own feelings of loss and sadness. Thanks to Cesur, Ali didn’t feel alone in his grief either, and they got through it together. One dogs day at a time!
