Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC Earphones Review

Share

I’ve been looking for a pair of wireless earphones for a while and have decided to give the Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones a shot. Here is everything you need to know if you are on the market for exceptional earphones.

Klipsch Unboxing & Pairing

The earphones come well packaged with everything you need. The case is heavier than I expected, you can definitely feel the quality of the product right away. It has a nice and shiny metallic color ( “gunmetal”). Pairing only took a second, make sure bluetooth is activated on your phone and you should see “Klipsch T5 ANC” pop up. Ready to go!

Klipsch Features

First impression, the sound quality is really nice, definitely HD. The earphones are equipped with a state of the art digital audio performance enhancement technology called Dirac. It is meant to improve staging , clarity, vocal crispness, and bass fidelity. I’m not an expert but it sounds like a premium experience.

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is one of my favorite features, you can easily turn it on and off by tapping the left earphone. The voice comes on letting you know that the ANC is on. This is great for focused work. Transparency is another interesting feature, allowing outside sounds into your ears so you stay aware of what’s going on around you. This is great when going for a run or walking around. Once again this can be controlled by tapping the earphone and a voice lets you know when it is on as well.

Hot buttons can be configured in the app (more on that below), all standard controls are available during playback with either a short press, a double press, triple press or hold of the button located directly on the earphones. The left one is used to turn ANC or transparency modes on/off and to increase or lower the volume. The right earphone is used to access the voice assistant, manage calls and to skip or rewind songs. It is all fairly intuitive.

Klipsch Comfort

I have small ears so most earphones don’t work for me. The Klipsch T5 II True Wireless ANC earphones are small enough that they don’t hurt my ears. I also love the variety of patented oval ear tips included in the box (all water resistant!). The medium ear tip comes on the earphones and 5 additional sizes are available to make sure you find the size that gives you the best seal and comfort. Switching ear tips is super easy too so you can experiment with all sizes if you feel like it. I went with small +.

Klipsch Battery Life & Charging

Battery life is also a very important thing for me. I want earphones that will last a while especially when I’m on the go. The battery lasts 7 full hours (5 when ANC is on) and the charging case allows for another 21 hours of battery life.

The case can be charged wirelessly or you can use the USB cable provided. There is a status indicator on the case itself to let you know when it’s time to charge.

Klipsch Connect App

This is not mandatory but if you want to make the most of your new earphones i’d recommend downloading the Klipsch connect App. It is available on both the App Store and Google Play. The app allows you to customize a lot of things and gives you access to advanced features, it also informs you of the battery status.

Klipsch Review

Overall these are definitely the nicest earphones I’ve ever owned and I’m happy I decided to give them a shot. I also love that they were designed and engineered in the US (in Indianapolis). Finally, if you are still unsure, Klipsch offers free shipping, and you get 90 days to return the product if you are not satisfied. There is also a 2-year warranty.
