Family Oriented

Kate Bradford is no stranger when it comes to finding a family orientated restaurant. Having 2 toddlers definitely has its challenges.

Kate was however very surprised by what she found when she got to the restaurant.

Steak Dinner

It was Kate’s father’s birthday and she had finally found the perfect restaurant to enjoy a steak dinner with the family.

The single mother of two was just about to find herself in a situation she didn’t expect.

Eventuality

She had the foresight to prepare for anything eventuality in advance, having read the horror stories of mothers who took their children to restaurants on blogs and reviews online.

She believed she was prepared.

Preparations

She got together puzzles, toys, and crayons for the trip to the diner. In advance, she had also made a reservation for 6 pm that evening.

But upon arrival at the restaurant 15 minutes early, their table wasn’t ready.

Crowded Whine

Cole and Maddi, 3 and 6 years old grew restless as they temporarily sat in the corner of the crowded restaurant, in the waiting area,

waiting to be seated Cole whined: “I’m hungry, mommy!”

Late Seating

Joel, the kid’s grandfather was late and Kate immediately looked across the dining area and spotted an open table and her frustration grew.

They had advertised as a family restaurant and by this point, Kate was fuming.

Complaint

She confronted the nearest waitress who was just doing her job and complained. But when Kate looked again she realized her terrible mistake.

Something terrible had happened to these men who were supposed to be in that booth tonight. Kate’s heart sank as she realized what was happening at that table.

Rest In Peace

The framed text on the table read: “We remember and honor the five slain police officers, who worked for the Dallas Area Rapid Transit Police Department,

that the Texas Roadhouse restaurant reserved a table for. We thank you for your service. May you rest in peace.”
