Unfortunately, unwitting users sometimes don’t do this and wind up sharing information and activities with anyone and everyone. Some people routinely accept all friendship requests as well, which has led to unwanted advances and even criminal activities perpetrated on people by unscrupulous social networking contacts.

Checking your Facebook timeline for new developments just before leaving work can easily cause you to lose track of time and run late. Some people sit down to watch a YouTube video and get caught up watching other videos for an extended period of time. In essence, addictive or undisciplined use of social networking sites and tools can lead to mismanagement of other priorities.
