Extraño Visitante

La peluquera se sobresaltó. Casi corta a su cliente. “¿Qué demonios ha sido eso?” gritó Marta y corrió hacia la puerta.

El corazón le latía con fuerza en el pecho. Su mente cansada luchaba por comprender lo que acababa de ver.

Parpadeó profusamente, esperando que la imagen se hiciera más nítida. Pero lo que tenía delante era real y de carne y hueso.

Estilista Cualificada

A Martha siempre le había apasionado su trabajo como peluquera. Le encantaba hacer que la gente se sintiera guapa y segura de sí misma.

Su salón estaba situado en el corazón de la ciudad de Los Ángeles, California.

Tenía una clientela fiel que llevaba años acudiendo a ella. Pero un día se llevó la sorpresa de su vida.

Lo Ha Visto Todo

Martha estaba acostumbrada a que clientes extraños y singulares entraran en su peluquería, pero nada podría haberla preparado para la sorpresa de su vida.

La criatura tenía los ojos desorbitados y Martha se quedó sin palabras. Intentó hablar con la criatura, pero estaba demasiado asustada y huyó.

Una Cosa Extraña

Era una tarde tranquila y Martha estaba terminando de atender a un cliente.

En sus diez años de experiencia, no esperaba que entrara en su tienda. Medía un metro y medio, tenía ojos pequeños y saltones y parecía asustado.

Martha se preguntó por qué tenía tanto miedo y salió corriendo. Estaba confusa, pero no le dio mucha importancia.

El Regreso De La Criatura

Al día siguiente, Martha abrió su salón como de costumbre. Sus empleados fueron llegando de uno en uno, como de costumbre.

De repente, oyeron un ruido junto a la puerta.

La criatura había vuelto. Era pequeña y parecía llorar. Martha intentó verle mejor la cara. Estaba decidida a averiguar qué era.

Extraña Especie

Martha se acercó cautelosamente a la criatura. Llevaba una sudadera verde oscura con pelo de animal pegado.

La cabeza era un enorme montículo alto como un cono. Martha sintió que el corazón le latía con fuerza a medida que se acercaba.

Gimoteaba. Martha no podía verle la cara porque tenía la cabeza hacia abajo. Pequeñas gotas de agua caían desde su pequeño rostro hasta el suelo.

Un Poco De Autocuidado

Martha no esperaba que la criatura regresara, y cuando Martha se dio cuenta de que no era un extraterrestre después de todo.

Se sintió tonta por haber pensado que se trataba de un ser sobrenatural.  Era sólo una niña pequeña, que parecía asustada y tenía el pelo enmarañado sin remedio.

Martha convenció a la niña para que se sentara y le preguntó si necesitaba un corte de pelo. Le preguntó su nombre, Brianna. Brianna asintió y, cuando Martha le tocó el pelo, se dio cuenta de que tenía mucho trabajo por delante, literalmente.

Peor De Lo Que Pensaba

Parecía que una criatura muerta vivía en la cabeza de Brianna, y Martha no estaba segura de poder arreglarlo.

The girl looked up at Martha and smiled, and for a moment, Martha felt like she had made a real difference in someone’s life.

“I love it!” Brianna exclaimed. “It doesn’t even look like me!” she squealed.

“Hold your horses, America’s next top model; we are not even done yet. I still have to put a hair mask treatment on you.” Martha asked Brianna to come back when she could, and Brianna happily agreed.

Martha was looking forward to seeing Brianna. She thought she would come in the morning, but she didn’t show.

The next day, Brianna’s mother barged into the salon, demanding to know who had cut her daughter’s hair.
