Five Most Bizarre Candy Bars in the World

When you think of candy bars, what ingredients come to mind? Chocolate? Caramel? Peanuts? Well, depending on where you are in the world, the only ingredient you may recognize in some candy bars is chocolate. Some of the most bizarre candy bars in the world include ingredients like beef jerky, cottage cheese and cow’s blood or are shaped to represent the most disgusting of objects. If you’re adventurous, you may want to try a few of the strange candy bars on our list.

5 Turo Rudi

The last candy bar on our list defies all logic. Made in Hungary, the Turo Rudi is essentially cottage cheese wrapped in milk chocolate. Maybe it’s just us, but this seems like the kind of candy bar you give a kid as punishment, perhaps to stop the constant begging for candy.

4 Hematogen

If you’re interested in a candy bar that can double as an anemia treatment, we have just the chocolate bar for you. Made in Russia, the Hematogen is comprised of fudge and cow’s blood. Talk about bloody goodness. This chocolate treat is definitely not for the faint of heart, or vegetarians for that matter.

3 Japanese Kit Kat

You may think you know what a Kit Kat tastes like, but take a trip to Japan and you may have second thoughts. Apparently, the Asian market prefers its Kit Kat bars with a little more spice, and Nestle has been more than happy to oblige. A few of the unique flavors include Apple Vinegar Kit Kat in White Chocolate, Watermelon and Salt Kit Kat, Muscat of Alexandria Grapes Kit Kat, Pumpkin Kit Kat, and Red Bean Soup Kit Kat, among others. While we admire the adventurous taste buds of the Japanese, we can’t quite wrap our heads around eating a Kit Kat that tastes like green tea.

2 Beef Jerky Milk Chocolate Bar

At this point, you’re probably asking, “Why?” That’s what we asked ourselves when we came across this unique spin on the traditional chocolate bar. Made by Wild Ophelia, the Beef Jerky Milk Chocolate Bar is exactly what it sounds like: beef jerky covered in chocolate, among other ingredients. According to the description on Wild Ophelia’s website, the beef is from Piedmontese and Angus cattle, just in case that matters to you.

1 Chocka Ca-Ca

It seems nothing is off limits when it comes to candy bars. If you can get past the visual—specifically, a chocolate bar shaped like, well, “ca-ca” and wrapped in a miniature diaper—Chocka Ca-Ca Chocolate Baby Diaper Treats just may be the snack for you. However, if you’re like us and can’t get past the much-too-realistic wrapping, these miniature chocolate bars would be the perfect gag gift for a baby shower.
