But all he said was that he needed to work. He said that most of his colleagues were called to work to finish some urgent work.

It wasn’t uncommon for this to happen, but Sarah thought it was strange that Tom was called every night. Surely, there was someone who could do the work without him.

But it didn’t seem that way. Night after night, Tom grabbed his jacket from the coat rack and made his way to the office. Or so Sarah thought.

Sarah started noticing that Tom was always preoccupied with something. It was like his mind was somewhere else. He had a strange look on his face, and he was always on his phone.
