30 Non-American Actors That Everyone Thinks Are American

Hollywood is the oldest film industry in the world (over 121 years old) and the largest in terms of revenue, producing several hundred films each year. What’s interesting to note, however, is that Bollywood (India’s film industry) is actually the largest in terms of the number of films produced and number of tickets sold. But did you ever realize how diverse celebrity nationalities are in the US?

According to SAG/AFTRA (the union that represents professional actors in the US), there are over 100,000 actors in the US, including some of our favorites. With such a large group, it should come as no surprise that they’re not all American. Some are the children of immigrants, some immigrated as children, and others came into the US as adults. Here are a few of our favorite non-American actors, that many don’t realize are foreign-born.
